General Event Information 

What is the date and time of the event? 

The event will be held on Saturday, February 14th, 2026, with races starting from 4:30 PM

Where is the start and finish line located? 

Starts are near Portarlington Pier for the 4km & half marathon or St Leonards Pier for the 10 km. All races finish at Portarlington Pier. 

What distances are available? 

We offer three events: 

  • ProFeet Half Marathon – 21.1 km 

  • Steigen 10 km – 10.5 km 

  • Bully Buster 4 km – 4 km (untimed) 

Is the event timed? 

Yes, the Half Marathon and 10 km are chip-timed. The Bully Buster 4 km is untimed as it is more about community movement than race times. 

Can I walk instead of run? 

Yes, walkers are welcome in all events. There are no cutoffs. 

Registration & Entry 

How do I register? 

Register online via our registration page. Early registration is recommended. 

Can I register on the day? 

On-day entries are usually sold out. We recommend registering in advance. 

Is there an age limit? 

Children under 12 can register free for the Bully Buster 4 km until January 15th. After that, it’s $10. Standard entry for 13+ is $33. 

10 km age limit is 10 & half marathon is 15 or on request with proof of capability 

What’s included in the registration fee? 

All entries include a race bib, finisher’s medal, on course hydration and food, finish line fruit, a celebrity experience as you navigate the caravan park supporters, and for the 10 km, a complimentary bus to the start line. 

 

Race Day Logistics 

What time should I arrive? 

Arrive at least 45 minutes before your race start time to allow for bib pickup and warm-up. 

Where do I collect my race bib? 

Bib pickup is available at the Flying Brick Cider Co on the Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm and the event HQ near Portarlington Pier on the Saturday between 1 pm to 4:30 pm. Details will be emailed to registered participants. 

Are there water stations? 

Yes, hydration stations are available along all courses. No hydration station is further than 3.3 km apart. These stations will also have tailwind nutrition (electrolytes), lollie's and fruit. Locations are in the participant information booklet on our website 

Is there medical support? 

Yes, medical staff and course marshals will be present throughout the event. 

Is there a bag drop? 

Yes, a secure bag drop area will be available near the start/finish line at Portarlington only. 

 

Travel & Parking 

Is parking available? 

Yes, parking is available near St Leonards & Portarlington Piers. Please arrive early to secure a spot. 

Can I use public transport? 

Yes, public transport options are available to Portarlington. Check local schedules for details. 

Will roads be closed? 

The Portarlington Pier carpark will be closed at 5pm and a traffic controller will let people in and out once the Bully Buster 4 km begins. We are on public trails so some sections may be restricted during the event with narrow sections and high volumes, please be patient You will cross boat ramps with marshals and the Indented Head tennis court carpark. Please follow signage and marshal instructions. 

 

Gear & Participation 

What should I wear? 

Wear comfortable running gear and appropriate footwear. Check the weather forecast before arriving. Expect hot  

Can I run with a stroller or pet? 

There are no strollers or prams permitted in the 10 km or half marathon, our trail is too narrow and there are sand sections. 

The Bully Buster 4 km does allow prams and strollers, please respect there is many unpredictable kids running so wait until you clear out of the chute before running.  

Pets are not permitted on the course in the 10 km or half marathon.  

Can I wear headphones? 

Yes, but please keep the volume low to hear instructions and other participants. 

 Are there toilets on course?

Yes, there are 3 toilet blocks at the Portarlington HQ,

Toilet blocks in 2 open caravan parks, Indented Head yacht club, and tennis courts on the 10/21 km, portaloos at the 10km start / 21km turnaround.

Post-Race 

Will I receive a medal? 

Yes! All finishers receive a commemorative medal. 

Are there prizes? 

Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the Half Marathon and 10 km events. Spot prizes are randomly awarded throughout the day. 

Where can I find race results? 

Results will be posted on our results page within 24 hours and live on Tomato Timing’s website. A QR code will be on your bib. 

Will there be event photos? 

Yes, professional photos will be available via Photos4Sale for the 10 km & half marathon where you pay what you feel is fair. The Bully Buster photos are free and uploaded in the week post event by our volunteers' photographers Gabrielle and Ron. 

 Is there food post-event?

Yes, our vendors are setup at 3 pm and hang around until approximately 9 pm. We usually have Tasty Taters 2, Lil Dumpling Van, Boost Juice & Flying Brick Cider Co onsite, Devils Donuts & Icecream Van on the pier, and the main street is only 250 meters from the Portarlington finish line.

Is this a charity event? 

While this is not a charity event, in 2026 the Bully Buster 4 km will continue to promote mental health awareness for youth and offers free entry to kids under 12. 12 coincides with the eligible age for headspace. We have had over 1000 kids run/walk free and have raised with participants help over $45,000 for Bellarine Community Health Youth Services over the years.
